"I really enjoyed my lessons with Lionel. He was very honest about his thoughts and gave very clear advice and demo for improvement/areas to work on. The teaching session is recorded and can be reviewed later. Highly recommended!"

"I was using a piano app to learn. After a couple of months, I feel like a robot on an assembly line, losing motivation. Lionel helped me discover who I needed to be; an artist! He gave me directions and tools that would help me do just that."

"Lionel is an excellent piano teacher! He always provides detailed feedback and recordings after each lesson, which help my kids review and practice effectively at home. The music sheets he prepares include clear counting instructions, making it easy for kids to follow and build good rhythm. My children started learning with Lionel when they were 8 and 9 years old, and they've already made great progress in their fundamental skills and posture. We're very grateful for his patience, professionalism, and dedication!"

"So my background: I started taking lessons at 7 and when I learned to play the entire song of Fur Elise in my first year I was told I had some natural talent. As a kid i was kind of rotten tho. Didn’t want to practice, didn’t do much to get better, wanted to play sports and play outside with the cool kids, so tho I felt like piano came natural to me, I wasn’t putting in the work because I saw if I only practiced a little bit, I was good enough to get by with my teachers. My 5th year was when piano started to get hard because that’s when I was in the mid transition between intermediate and advanced, and because I was overwhelmed with the work, I quit at 13. I didn’t want piano to be hard anymore. As a teen I just played for my church, which was the only time I touched the piano, and a few other instances where I’d wow friends playing a song I figured out listening to the radio. After my teenage years, my talent just DIED. I buried it for 25 years. The grand piano in the living room my first teacher gave me before she left to Korea sat in the living room collecting dust. It haunted me for 2 and a half decades every time I passed by it in the morning. It wasn’t until 2024 on Christmas Day where I got back on piano again and started playing for my mom. I saw that my skill was still there, and as now a man in his 40’s it brought back nostalgia. The memories I had with every song I played came back to me as a child and I started crying. “Why did I stop?” I believe God brought me back to the piano because since that day, it’s become the number 1 focus of my life. I found Lionel’s Dre video and got so inspired, I studied and practiced that piece for months just to get it down to memorization, but my fingers just weren’t moving fast enough to get the piece right. I played at my first recital as an adult and totally bombed that song, but it was still impressive to people. Fast forward to January 2026 I decided to hit up Lionel on his website and ask him for tips, then decided to make him my teacher after watching his Moonlight Sonata remix. I am determined to play like him one day and so far my progression has been phenomenal. Lionel is very simple, straight forward, he makes learning pieces easy to understand, and what he’s taught me has been specific to me as a pianist. Things he’s taught me I never found on YouTube so he is worth every minute to learn from. His style of piano resonates with the kind of pianist I want to become. Like i have this strong desire to bastardize classical music with rap and EDM beats as well. He’s also made me come to ENJOY classical pieces, and I’m just so blown away by how much these simple classical pieces were made to actually train you and teach you piano the right way. I just got through Adagio Cantabile and that song intimidated me before I met Lionel. I’m going back to all the classics and really learning how to become a piano player. It is a pleasure and an honor to be in this journey with Lionel and I couldn’t think of a better person to learn from. Piano gave me life and validation from the world as a child, but I foolishly let it die and buried it in my young years. Lionel marks history with my music life because in my 40’s, he is with me, resurrecting this talent and bringing it back to life. It truly is a blessing and a privilege to have him as my teacher. "

"I have experience as a self-guided piano student, and finally decided to search for the right teacher to help me improve. I'm happy to have found Lionel, because not only did he teach me skills that I never saw in any other tutorials online, but he was also able to correct my posture and other issues that I would not have otherwise figured out without an actual teacher. I am lucky that he's my teacher and guiding me on my piano journey, and I highly recommended him as a talented and patient teacher for all levels! (also-If you are a self guided learner like I was, don't wait- he can correct things that will stall your progress later!)"

"My son has been taking Lionel's piano lessons a little over one year now. My son's piano skills has been moved to the next level; such as playing solid rhythm, playing with dynamics and playing with clear finger articulation, etc. Lionel is the best piano teacher that my son never had before... Lionel made my son a bright star at his school performances. I highly recommend Lionel as your piano teacher with his affordable piano lesson prices. Lionel’s piano lessons will worth every dollar you pay."
